Our buddy class, Room 8, has been showing us a good way to use our waste paper. They know all about how to recycle paper to use in a variety of interesting ways.
Firstly, industrious fingers shredded the waste paper into tiny pieces, lots & lots!
After soaking the paper in water, Freya used her food processor to pulverise the sodden paper.
The resulting squishy product was tipped onto a framed mesh sieve and dipped into water dye. It was then forced down to squeeze out as much liquid as possible..JPG)
Finally the coloured recycled, dyed squishy paper was turned onto O.H.P. transparencies and carefully sponged to absorb as much of the liquid as possible. Then they were all placed on shelves to dry.Next term, Rooms 8 and 13 are going to make something creative with the results.
