Dealing with Disability - Donna Case

Donna Case is physically disabled - she is a paraplegic after having suffered a spinal tumour about 16 years ago.

In this image, Donna is demonstrating how she drives her car. The shiny white stick is the brake.

Donna rides a specially built hand cycle - it looks like a cross bewteen a tricycle and wheelchair. Donna turns the handles to make the bike go. She has powerful arms and is very strong and fit.

Donna showed us the trophy and medal she won after her participation in the New York marathon. Donna has hand-cycled the New York marathon twice and has also completed other marathons.

Donna is an amazing lady who has not allowed her disability to be a disability!
